Rich Woods, The Cocktail Guy.



Branding and logo design for mixologist, cocktail influencer and author Rich Woods - ‘The Cocktail Guy’. Described as “the drink industry’s answer to Heston Blumenthal”, due to his exploration of flavour, Rich is an award-winning bartender whose creations combine food and drink.

Rich had 2 main stipulations with the brief for the logo, firstly he wanted it to include the shape of a specific cocktail glass he uses often, and secondly he wanted it to include the initials of his brand name T.C.G. So I took both of those and turned them into one icon, the glass graphic is actually made up of the letters T, C and G; and the holding device is inspired by a drinks coaster. The logo launch coincided with a collaboration with Bombay Sapphire Gin to launch an edible paint mixer, on which the logo appeared.
